2023 Land Rover Defender 130 is coming to Australia

The price for largest member of the Land Rover Defender family, the eight-seat 130, revealed.

The largest Land Rover Defender family member, the eight-seater 2023 Land Rover Defender 130, is coming to Australia. The pricing details of the car have been disclosed recently, and it’s higher than what was anticipated.

The Defender 130 will open for orders in August 2022, and it will be priced at $124,150 (plus on-road costs. This price is higher than the Land Rover 110 five-seater. The car will be available only in SE specifications and will come with a choice of diesel or petrol engines. The extra cost of the Defender 130 can be justified by a longer body and better boot space.

The new Land Rover will have two engines in Australia, the D300 diesel and P400 petrol. They will be based around 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder engines, with 48-volt mild-hybrid systems, eight-speed automatics, and even an all-wheel drive.

Though Land Rover Australia didn’t share the full feature list, it pointed to an 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen, adaptive air suspension, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, 20-inch wheels, and a Terrain Response off-road system.

Some other items that are standard on the Land Rover Defender 90 and 110 SE are 12-way power front seats, ‘premium’ LED headlights, an 11-speaker sound system, a full advanced safety suite, and wireless phone charging. It is not confirmed whether the Defender 130 will have these features.
