People often travel for hours for business or pleasure. If you also travel a lot or plan to do that, you should know that jet lag is something you will experience. Even if the flight is a short one and doesn’t last over 19 hours like the recent world record Qantas flight, you still have to face jet lag when the journey ends. 1. Drink Up

Drink a lot of water a few days before taking the flight. When your body is hydrated, you’d be less prone to jet lag. Drink lemon water if plain water seems boring after a while.

2. Try Fasting

If you can bear it, fast during the entire flight time and eat a protein-filled meal before heading to the airport. It will be an advantage as on-flight food is rarely healthy.

 

3. Avoid Blue Light

Airplanes have fluorescent bulbs that can emit excessive blue light. You can beat them by putting on blue light blocking glasses.

4. Have Vitamin D

Boost your brain, bones, and the entire nervous system by having enough vitamin D before a flight to reduce or avoid jet lag. If you can’t get vitamin D through sunlight, opt for a Vitamin D supplement. Soak up the sunlight when you land at your destination.

 

5. Try Grounding

Pack your grounding mat when you prepare for the flight to get help with jet lag. It will also help with focus and might stop you from getting sick. Walk outside barefoot on a lawn after you land and see how relieved you feel.
