James Bond movie, ‘No Time to Die’ is set to release later this month. And just ahead of the release, adidas has decided to unveil the new UltraBOOST collection that takes inspiration wholly from James Bond 007.

While the movie was set to release in 2020 originally, its production and hence the release got shifted to this year. Nevertheless, it would be the 25th James Bond movie in the franchise with Daniel Craig playing the role of 007 for the 5th time.

Other movies James Bond in which Daniel Craig has appeared include Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008). Skyfall (2012), with Specter (2015) being the last addition to the 007 franchise.

In recent times, there is an ongoing trend of fashion collaborating with pop culture franchises. We have also seen luxury watchmakers pursuing such profitable partnerships recently. So, why should sports brands like adidas stay back?

The new adidas UltraBOOST styles feature the Black and White tuxedos that are commonly seen in James Bond movies. After all, that is the signature 007 style. The new UltraBOOST designs also feature the TPU BOOST midsole which features enhanced performance.

The midsole is set right beneath the breathable and monochromatic mesh uppers. Without a doubt, both the DNA and the more modern ’20’ are the perfect fit for a 007 re-imagination.

Among the new designs, one black UltraBOOST colourway offers a tribute to the boffin, Q, featuring a hidden pocket in the tongue of the shoe. On the other hand, the gunmetal grey and white UltraBOOST colourway is a tribute to the legendary Safin played by Rami Malek – one of the most notable villains ever to appear in James Bond movies.

Based on the information that the brand has given out, the 007 themed UltraBOOST “White Tuxedo” will be available on the 17th of September for the Creators Club members.

However, a full rollout of the new UltraBOOST designs will go on 24th September and will become available on the official web store of adidas. Of course, this would happen just a month before No Time

To Die finally releases in Australian theatres on the 11th of November.
