Samsung has been pushing the boundaries of technologies and making breakthrough inventions for many years now. But it’s recent inventions like the Samsung Galaxy S10 line and the Samsung Galaxy Fold have caught the attention of everyone and gave them the desire to own one too. Another innovation that has managed to impress us today is the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6.

The Announcement

While some people loved Samsung for teasing Galaxy Note 10 and are still waiting for an opportunity to buy it, others were looking forward to something more amazing. Samsung has done that by announcing the launch of the new Galaxy Tab S6, another high-end tablet that allows you to be productive and entertained in several ways.

The Inspiration

Galaxy Note 10 is very familiar to Surface Pro by Microsoft and iPad Pro by Apple. It supports pen input and can be attached to a keyboard case. Some people also say that the stylus included in the box reminds them of Apple Pencil (that you also get with iPad Mini).

The Range

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is at the top of the Android tablet range by Samsung. The low end was Galaxy Tab A, and the mid-range was Tab S5e. For the uninitiated, Samsung maintains a different line of tablets which run Windows 10.

Display

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 has a 16:10 and 10.5-inch OLED screen and a 2560 x 1600-pixel resolution. If you think that’s too familiar to the outgoing Tab S4, then you must know that it has trimmed the bezels a bit to ensure that the overall footprint is smaller. It also has an in-screen optical fingerprint scanner which sounds cool!

Thickness

The overall thickness of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 has also been reduced. It has been brought down to only 5.7mm while the weight has been reduced to 420 grams or less than 15 ounces.

Speakers

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 has four speakers that are located along the edges. You can see two on each side when the device is held in landscape.

The Processor

It has a Snapdragon 855 processor and a 7,040mAh battery that can last up to 15 hours, according to Samsung.

The Camera

It also has a dual-camera system that comes with a standard lens and has a 123-degree wide-angle lens.

The Most Interesting Part

We think the most interesting part of the tablet is its back because it has a cool magnetic strip that lets you attach the S Pen stylus to it. What’s more interesting is that the stylus will charge if you attach it to the tablet and you will get an on-screen charging notification when it is attached. Just make sure you don’t knock it off accidentally when you are holding the tablet. If you do that often, you can keep the stylus in optional folio and keyboard cases that have a special cavity for covering the stylus.

The Stylus

The stylus itself is a cool device that has the ability to trigger camera shutter remotely and advance PowerPoint slides. You will also like the new gestures for scrolling through media or other functions while holding the pen.

The Keyboard

The keyboard which needs to be purchased separately can be connected to the tablet via a set of pogo pins that are on the left edge of Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. It can also be detached from the back cover, which can also act as a kickstand. This kickstand can be used to prop the tablet up.
