Anthony Bourdain Is Remembered in The First Trailer of ‘Roadrunner’ Doco

One of the most liked and popular figures in the world of food and travel was Anthony Bourdain. A film about him entitled Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain will hit the theatres in June in the US. The film’s first trailer was released recently, and it gave us a hint of what to expect. The film will give an inside life of his relationships, his struggles, and of course, his foodie travels.
The Roadrunner documentary is directed by Morgan Neville, who you might recognize as the filmmaker of ‘Won’t You Be My Neighbour?’. Anthony Bourdain got fame in 2000 when his memoir and an inside look at the restaurant world Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly became immensely popular. For years after that, he gathered fame as a TV personality and a food writer. He starred in CNN’s Parts Unknown and Travel Channel’s No Reservations.
Sadly, Anthony Bourdain died by suicide in 2018 at the age of 61. He was filming Parts Unknown in France at that time. The documentary will focus on the challenges he faced when he trotted the globe and explored interesting stuff during his travels. It will have archival footage too. After releasing in theatres, the Anthony Bourdain documentary will be available on HBO Max and will also air on CNN.

Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain
The Anthony Bourdain documentary will have the world premiere at the Tribeca Film festival that will be organized on June 11 in New York. It will then be released in cinemas from June 16, 2021.
