Apple has announced the One More Thing event that would be held on November 10. The highlight of this event would likely be Arm-based Apple Silicon MacBook and much more. The special thing about these Macs would be that they will run on Apple Silicon chips instead of the Intel processors the brand has used since 2005.

One More Thing phrase is an interesting addition as it was used by the former CEO of the company, Steve Jobs in keynotes for important product announcements. The company used this phrase last time during the announcement of iPhone X in 2017.

Apple shared the plans to switch to its own Silicon CPUs in June, 2020 at WWDC and promised that the first computers that use these chips would be released later this year. If the company is releasing a MacBook at this event, then it will fulfil that promise. A key advantage of these new chips is that they offer better performance at low power consumption.

Though the company might start with the use of these chips in a MacBook, Apple will likely include these chips in all its devices, from desktops to laptops in the future. In addition to a MacBook with Silicone chips, the event might also include the launch of macOS 11 Big Sur that has been in beta for months and was announced at the WWDC as well.

Soon after Apple announced the event, a popular leaker known as L0vetodream tweeted “13-inch x 2.” The tweet had no other contextual information. We think that it means that Apple might plan not just one Silicon MacBook but two MacBooks. We must wait till next Tuesday to know more.

The event live stream will mean another early wake-up call for the Aussies as the event starts at 5 am AEDT, 6 am AEST, 3:30 am ACST, 2:30 am AWST and 4:30 am ACDT. The timing is bad but not as bad as the Apple iPhone 12 launch. We hope that the event is as worthy as the Apple Watch event that we enjoyed, and the MacBook does not turn out to be a disappointment for the users and the viewers.
