Just recently, Balenciaga featured its all-new collection in a fashion show. With that, the Tesco-inspired bag that the fashion house cloned as an accessory in the fashion show specifically caught everyone’s eye.

The Balenciaga “Tesco” shopping bag is a nod to the shopping culture in Britain. With white and blue stripes, the shopping bag had a simple yet powerful vibe. But aesthetics aside, the shopping bag was made of plastic – just like the grocery bags of all other stores.

Considering the growing environmental concerns, not everyone supports the idea of single-use plastic bags. Well, the good thing is that the reusable shopping bags that Balenciaga has featured in the SS22 are made of Nylon.

Though, Balenciaga is not the only fashion house to feature reusable shopping bags. From time to time, many fashions have stressed the use of reusable bags as part of their commitment to sustainability.

The Balenciaga grocery bag is worth AU$450 that comes in three colours options: black, red, and tartan. For those who would not mind doing the environment a small favour, this bag was made with 100% recycled nylon.

Regarding that, representatives from Balenciaga stated, “The bag’s collapsible design and all-purpose clasp make it conveniently transportable, making it easy to always have on-hand to use instead of disposable carriers.”

In that sense, Balenciaga does make a good point, though. After all, who would forget their luxury grocery bag at home? Hence, that automatically reduces the overuse of plastic grocery bags.

In other news, Nike just received a patent for the iconic Air Jordan 1 to deal with the bootleg versions in the market.
