The devastating bushfire crisis in Australia isn’t stopping and has managed to reach the soft side of billions of people across the world. The bushfires have claimed the lives of 28 people and over half a billion native animals have died too. Sadly, a third of Koalas of the country are also dead. The situation is getting worse day by day, and hence, people, celebrities and brands are finding new ways to contribute to bushfire donations.

Balenciaga has made one of the recent attempts to increase the bushfire donations. The company has launched a new collection to support the fight against the bushfire disaster of our country. People who love wearing streetwear and want to contribute to the cause can check out the hoodies and t-shirts that have been launched. The hoodies and t-shirts feature a white base on which there is an illustration of Koala, the native arboreal herbivorous marsupial that is highlighting the soft nature and cute facial features of the animal.

One hundred per cent of the proceeds from the sale of products from this collection will go to support the bushfire donations. The Kering Group and the Balenciaga sustainability experts will decide which local conservation organisation will get how much of the donations. The hoodies and t-shirts are unisex and will be made available on the official Balenciaga website from January 13.

It is not the first time the Kering Group has done something grand to support the bushfire donations. Earlier, it had donated 1 million AUD to support the cause. The donation was made by merging efforts of 12 labels from the globally popular luxury powerhouse. When talking about the donations, Kering Group stated this in a press release- “The Kering family of brands is coming together to support the efforts of the Australian people to fight the wildfires.”

The labels who contributed to bushfire donations by Kering Group earlier were Gucci, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Bottega Veneta, Boucheron, Brioni, Pomellato, Ulysse Nardin, Dodo, Qeelin, and Girard-Perregaux.

In addition to the giant Kering Group, several small brands have contributed to bushfire donations as well. Some of them are Alex Perry, Le Specs and Bloodstone.
