Breath-taking beauty and a marvelous model, Catriona Gray strolled along the stage with her signature Lava Walk and has been awarded the coveted and prestigious Miss Universe 2018 title. She belongs to the Philippines and is born in Australia. She competed with stunners from 93 nations to get the title during the Miss Universe 2018 competition organized in Bangkok.

This incredible win is literally a dream come true for Gray’s mother who once dreamed that her daughter would win the Miss Universe title in a red dress. Interestingly, the diva was wearing a sparkling red dress when she was handed the much-desired crown. The dress was inspired by Albay’s prominent Mayon Volcano.

 

Her mother had tears of joy in her eyes at the crowning moment. The moment of crowning was iconic as usual, and the crowd roared with delight at the decision because they were favoring Southeast Asian contestants.

 

The first runner-up of Miss Universe 2018 was Tamaryn Green of South Africa while the third place was bagged by Sthefany Gutierrez of Venezuela. As pageants are considered an honor and a privilege in the Philippines, most of the people of this amazing country were glued to their TV sets when the competition was concluded.

 

Gray’s win was particularly celebrated with enthusiasm at the Oas town located in the north-eastern province of Albay because that’s where Gray’s mother belongs to. Her father is of Australian origin who was born and brought up in Cairns. The stunner studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.

 

Gray’s passion, determination, hard work, and diligence were appreciated by the office of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. She is the fourth Filipina to receive this title, and the office of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte congratulated her soon after she won the title. It was highlighted that Catriona has made the entire Philippines proud by demonstrating grace, confidence, strength, and intelligence on the global stage.

 

With this remarkable win, Miss Gray has the option of pursuing any career she wants.
