Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel, just confirmed that Charlie Cox would play the character of Daredevil if the masked vigilante did appear in the MCU. Cox played the role of Daredevil in the Netflix series in 2015. Then, he continued playing the role for three more seasons and appeared in The Defenders.

Though, any of the Marvel shows by Netflix did not connect with the storylines of the MCU. Even though, Daredevil was marketed as a part of the MCU initially. Later, when the Marvel shows by Netflix got cancelled, fans were quite disappointed.

After the confirmation that Daredevil season 4 is not going to return, fans started petitioning for the lead to join the MCU. While it is not clear when Daredevil will enter the MCU, fans can now rest assured that if he does appear, Charlie Cox will indeed play the lead role.

Just recently, Feige confirmed that if the franchise decides to include Daredevil into the MCU, then Charlie Cox will continue to play the role.

In Feige’s full words about MCU’s Daredevil

“If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil. Where we see that how we see that when we see that, remains to be seen.”

As far as Daredevil’s role in the MCU goes, he can fit into several places. For instance, rumours have been surfacing that Matt Murdock, aka the Daredevil could appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, as the lawyer of Peter Parker.

Similarly, he may as well appear in She-Hulk. However, it is more likely to see Cox appearing in the Hawkeye, since the show is rumoured to introduce Vincent’s Kingpin.

However, Feige’s words suggest that currently, Daredevil is not a part of any MCU project. So, it may not be likely for Cox to appear in any of the above-mentioned projects. But again, fans are hopeful that eventually, MCU will decide to include Daredevil in a new or ongoing project.

And whenever that happens, Charlie Cox will be the one to take the role again. While nothing is certain yet, patience is the only key here.
