Disney Plus Announces Details About The Mandalorian and Marvel Series
Baby Yoda – The Mandalorian – Disney+

When it comes to wooing the audience, Disney’s streaming service, Disney Plus, is leaving no stone unturned. The CEO and Chairman of the company, Bob Iger, proved that again when he revealed the schedule for some of the most anticipated TV series. Thankfully, many of them are arriving in a year or two.

The first good news is for the fans of The Mandalorian. The Star Wars show will make a comeback with the second season is October this year. So, people who terribly miss the action hero or the star of the show, The Child or Baby Yoda (a term by the fans), will get to see them together again. The announcements were made during the earnings call of Disney this Tuesday.

Talking about the show’s popularity, Bob Iger said, “Our growing slate of original content is also a great interest for our subscribers, especially The Mandalorian, which has quickly become a bonafide hit and a cultural phenomenon. Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention a certain Child in The Mandalorian, who has taken the world by storm.”

Moving on to discuss the first Marvel series that will be aired on Disney Plus, Iger said that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would be released in August. It stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as Falcon and Bucky.

WandaVision will air on Disney Plus in December, where Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen will reprise their roles of Vision and Wanda (aka The Scarlett Witch). Though WandaVision was earlier slated to release in 2021, Disney had shifted the release date recently. The release date for another Marvel Show, Loki that stars Tom Hiddleston, is yet to be unveiled.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would likely grab most of the attention as it’s the first big Disney Plus series of Marvel. Kevin Feige, the man behind MCUs vision, will continue to oversee all the Marvel entertainment. It means you can expect great things from it. Before the launch of Disney Plus, Jeph Loeb was responsible for overseeing different Marvel shows on not only Disney networks but also on other streaming services like Netflix and Hulu.
