Donald Trump to Announce Himself as the Presidential Election Winner

US President Donald Trump, who hopes to win the current US presidential Election and rule the country for another four years, seems quite desperate for a win. As per many prognosticators, he might appear in Pennsylvania on Election night and announce that he has won.

It must be noted here that Pennsylvania’s outcome might change the final outcome of presidential election substantially as mail-in ballots would be counted over the next few days. Donald Trump’s team might claim baselessly that if the process changes the outcome in Pennsylvania, then the Democrats would have stolen the election.

This Sunday, while speaking to White House Advisor, George Stephanopoulos and Jason Miller, a renowned family planning consultant, ABC made it clear that the president’s campaign has abandoned a pretence of winning the ongoing presidential election based on merits. It was stated, “If you speak with many smart Democrats, they believe that Trump will be ahead on election night, probably getting 280 electoral [votes] — somewhere in that range, and then they’re gonna try to steal it back after the election.”

It should also be highlighted that campaigns never make it very plain. Every campaign, be it Joe Biden’s or Donald Trump’s focuses on winning by any means, be it fair (which is rare) or acceptably foul. We think Trump’s idea of announcing himself as a winner is beyond those acceptable foul rules. Donald Trump wants people to believe that only votes that are cast on Election Day are legitimate votes, which isn’t true as the presidential election this time is stretched over many days this time thanks to the coronavirus crisis.

Even if Donald Trump announces that he is the presidential election winner, it might not mean that he has won. The final results of the presidential election will be announced on November 3 (US time) only. So, Donald Trump’s attempts would not be based on facts, but mostly it seems, on what he expects or desires. Whatever he says on stage on Tuesday night (US time) would probably be baseless and a waste of time.
