Legendary producer and rapper Dr. Dre announced that he was doing great on social media after being hospitalized due to a possible brain aneurysm. The news of his hospitalization was met by concerns from the music industry’s reputed names as everyone from N.W.A to Snoop Dogg poured their love, prayers, and support.

L.L. Cool J, another rapper had previously tweeted that the music mogul was “recovering nicely.” Dr. Dre was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles via an ambulance, and he is still in the ICU. He seems to be in a stable condition, and doctors are currently carrying out tests to find the cause of the bleeding.

Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, is a father of seven with a net worth of over USD 1 billion (About AUD 1.29 billion). He is also the founder of Beats Electronics that was founded in 2006. He has made a fortune by selling Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.
He rose to commercial fame thanks to the ground-breaking gangsta rap pioneers N.W.A. He then crafted the quintessentially West Coast G-Funk sound. Dr. Dre is also behind the careers of many greats like Eminem and Snoop Dogg. He is also a self-proclaimed billionaire and was the second richest hip-hop producer and artist in the world in 2019.
Dr. Dre has also won six Grammy Awards and grabbed the 56th spot on the Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He sold his Beats by Dre headphones like for USD 3 (About AUD 3.86) billion in 2014.
The health scare comes amid his ugly divorce with ex-wife Nicole Young who is after USD 6.88 (About AUD 8.84) million in legal fees and a temporary monthly spousal support of USD 2.7 (About AUD 3.47) million. They have two daughters Truly aged 20 and Truice aged 24. Dr. Dre has five other children with three different women. He had a son Andre Young Jr. who died at the age of 20 in 2008 due to drug overdose.
