Elon Musk: Besos retired in order to pursue a full-time job filing lawsuits against SpaceX
Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk have been playing out another public spat over their space businesses.

Just recently, Elon Musk criticized Jeff Bezos, the billionaire space cowboy for retiring only to file lawsuits. Not too long ago, Blue Origin decided to sue NASA after losing a government contract to SpaceX.

As a result of this, SpaceX’s work got delayed significantly. Again, Amazon is on to something, as the company is urging the FCC to reject SpaceX’s plans if launching a satellite cluster to power Starlink (a new satellite internet service by Elon Musk).

In response to a story regarding the complaint to the FCC by Amazon, Elon Musk said in a tweet, “Turns out Besos retired in order to pursue a full-time job filing lawsuits against SpaceX …”

Well, Amazon has not pursued a formal lawsuit this time. However, it is more of an act of protest by the company. According to Amazon, SpaceX and Elon Musk must be clearer about the plans.

Currently, 1740 earth-orbiting satellites are powering Starlink. Currently, Starlink serves almost 90,000 customers. With that, 30,000 2nd generation satellites are also ready to get launched, which will significantly improve the service.

Based on that, Elon Musk and his company will have to inform the FCC about the relative positioning of these satellites in the Earth’s orbit.

However, Amazon is complaining that Elon Musk and his company are requesting the approval of two unique orbital configurations, out of which SpaceX will choose one configuration later.

According to Mariah Dodson Shuman, a representative of Amazon, SpaceX is taking a novel approach that is not in line with the rules of the commission and public policy.

She further added that grappling with multiple possible configurations means that other operators will have to increase their technical efforts significantly. This would also influence the Kuiper System by Amazon, which is planning to launch its satellites as well.

Simply put, Amazon wants Elon Musk and his company to stick with a single plan rather than working around multiple configurations.

In other news, reports say that the new 2022 Porsche Taycan will come with new technology and a range of colour options.
