The new Samsung Galaxy Note series

Samsung has been making the waves in the tech world for decades now. In the same event that launched the Galaxy Watch Active2, all eyes were on the brand as it was supposed to launch Samsung Galaxy Note 10 at Galaxy Unpacked Event 2019. Well, the least we can say is the brand hasn’t disappointed the tech-geeks as it’s loaded with some of the feature leaked earlier and has some awesome new features that weren’t leaked. Here’s everything you need to know about the cool revelation.

The Trio

If you are a geek, you probably know it, but we are making it crystal clear. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 doesn’t have one device, but three and only one of them is 5G enabled.

The Looks

The new note looks stunning as standard Aura Black and Aura Glow. The entry-level device only has a 6.3-inch screen, but the Plus models and a bezel-less design have screens measuring 6.8 inches. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor which gives it a point extra on Pixel 3a as the latter doesn’t have it.

At the rear of the device, you have a vertical camera array. DeX is still there and allows you to transfer files to and from a computer easily. It also allows you to use phone apps on PC by using a USB cable.

For better or for worse, highly popular and wildly loved headphone jack is gone.

The Storage

The entry-level Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has 256GB storage and 8GB RAM. The trio has the latest Exynos 9825 processor that’s same across the series. The Note will be the first phone in a series planned which doesn’t have expandable storage. The Note 10+ Sports has 12GB RAM. If you want more, you can use the MicroSD slot which also doubles up as SIM slot for a second SIM. The 5G model is the best when it comes to storage as it has 12GB RAM, 512GB storage, and a MicroSD that can’t be used for adding another SIM. If you think storage is an issue, remember that iPhone 11 has only 4GB RAM!

The Cameras

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has a triple rear setup with three cameras at the back and one at the front. The Note 10+ and 10+ 5G have a fourth camera too that can scan any object and transform it into a movable 3D render. You can doodle in AR by using the S Pen and add more to animation images, effects, and drawings.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has night mode to allow low-light selfies and allows you to try Live Focus Video in which you can blur the background and focus on specific object(s) or subject(s). Other worthy features in this category are improved stabilization, a Zoom-in-mic and a built-in video editor.

The Battery

As people don’t like it when their phone is charging, Samsung has been doing its best to improve the battery life across all devices. After launching Galaxy Book that has 23 hours of battery life, it has also given much attention to Samsung Galaxy Note 10.

The base Note 10 comes with 3,500mAH battery while Note 10+ and Note 10+ 5G have 4,300mAH batteries. All the models come with a 25W charger but are also compatible with a 45W charger that can be bought separately. Wireless PowerShare is back too, but we suggest you use it for small Qi-enabled gadgets such as Galaxy buds.

The S Pen

The leaks about a significant upgrade on the S pen were right as it now comes with the ability to convert your handwriting into text and export it to Word or other such programs. With a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and an S pen, you can also customize the text in terms of colour and size.

Air Actions is another feature added to the S pen as you can control different aspects of the device with ease. It is also open for third-party development so developers can customize controls for apps and games through Air-Actions SDK.
