G-SHOCK AND BRUCE LEE ESTATE TO RELEASE A SPECIAL EDITION MR-G WATCH

Celebrating Bruce Lee’s 80th brithday 

 

Mr-G, the luxury arm of Casio’s G-SHOCK, reveals the MRG-G2000BL-9A.  The BL stands for the martial arts legend and action film star, Bruce Lee, who’s celebrating his 80th birthday this 2020.

 

Most notably, the yellow and black color scheme used for the case and band of the watch is an obvious reference to the iconic tracksuit worn by Bruce Lee in the film, Game of Death. Another detail of this edition is that the colors of the watch indices, th Mr-G branding and seconds hand are yellow and red, which appear in the emblem of JKD, Jeet Kune Do, Bruce Lee’s martial arts philosophy.

 

Other specifications of this updated MR-G watch features a high-durability Dura Soft Fluoro-Rubber band, bringing a soft feel on the wrist, as well as an outstanding scratch-resistant sapphire glass crystal. Additionally, this Mr-G Bruce Lee watch has also has a diamond-like coated sleek bezel to increase abrasion resistance; a bezel and titanium case; a time adjustment technology capable of obtaining data via Bluetooth®; and the watch also has solar power charging system.

Finally, this special-edition Mr-G Bruce Lee watch includes an engraved bezel that reads “Using no way as a way, having no limitation as limitation,” and a dial that’s decorated with the signature of Bruce Lee, using the Chinese character “龍,” meaning dragon, which is also Lee’s nickname.
