Samsung and Apple have been engaged in gadget launch war for a while now. Be it the race to offer the best tab experience where Samsung thinks of Samsung Galaxy Tab and Apple launches iPad Mini to launching similar smartphones; the war is getting intense. Though we can’t say who will win the war or whether Galaxy Note is better than the expected iPhone 11, we can say is that Samsung has outdone itself by launching Galaxy Watch Active 2. How? Read on to find out!

Though Samsung Galaxy Unpacked was filled with awesome surprises like the launch of Galaxy Book S, our eyes were glued to the smartest smartwatch, Galaxy Watch Active 2. It is a better version of Samsung Galaxy Watch launched earlier this spring that turned out to be a disappointment because it had some bugs.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is so impressive than many of us are still wondering why the launch of Galaxy Note 10 was hyped so much. Samsung could have easily led with this amazing watch.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 is available in two sizes, 40mm that costs $280 (A$412) and 44mm that costs $300 ($442). The colour options are silver, gold, black, and Lily Gold. The frame options are stainless steel, aluminium, rubber straps, or leather straps. The swipe is quite smooth as you can swipe with minimal finger motions and you can also use the edge controls with ease.

What really makes Galaxy Watch Active 2 stand out from the rest is that it now has eight LEDs in the optical heart rate monitor, has a better accelerometer and is loaded with coaching features that let you advance to the next levels of fitness without worrying about accelerated heart rate.

It also has a built-in electrocardiogram that can read heart rate and rhythm to spot the possibility of arrhythmia. This feature will be activated only after FDA clearance.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 also has Google translate and has a My Style feature that takes a photo of the clothes you are wearing and generates watch face wallpapers to make you look dapper. Also, the apps need a single sign-in, which means Samsung won’t require you to sign in to the apps on the watch if you are already signed into them via your phone. It will surely save a lot of time and annoyance.
