HBO Dropped a Game of Thrones Season 8 Sneak Peek at the Golden Globes
Winter is finally here. (Well, almost.)
HBO not only received several nominations for awards during the Golden Globes for the output given in 2018, but it also decided to make the most of the major event by promoting upcoming line-up of content that is expected to woo the audience this year. The highlight of the upcoming original content was the first footage of the globally awaited show, Game of Thrones Season 8.
As the fans of the long-running show expected a bit more from the major TV network, it won’t be wrong to say that HBO disappointed the fans by releasing a teaser that included only one scene from the Game of Thrones Season 8.
The fans of the show have been glued to the scene since it was first revealed simply because it is intriguing and drops subtle hints of what to expect. In the scene, the fans can see a meeting between Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), who has arrived in Winterfell for the first time, Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner). Snow and Targaryen are together while Stark is alone. Stark can be seen handing the control of the land to Targaryen. Most fans of the Game of Thrones series will probably agree that Stark’s reaction is nothing short of intriguing.
Though Game of Thrones Season 8 is expected to be on the screens from this April, HBO is hiding its content efficiently. After seeing the brief scene, the fans are hoping for a proper trailer (that will hopefully reveal more) and the official launch date (that is yet to be announced). The season will have only six episodes, but the fans are hoping that some of the episodes will run for longer than one hour. The fans are also eagerly waiting for the GoT Prequel that will be shooting a pilot in early 2019.
Other shows teased by HBO were True Detective Season that will premiere on January 13, Big Little Lies Season 2 and Watchmen, which is expected to be a remix of the popular graphic novel by Alan Moore.
Those of you who are bored by other superhero tv series and have a knack for only superior shows must wait until HBO reveals more on what Game of Thrones Season 8 has in store.
