House of the Dragon, HBO Reveals Pictures of Cast During Table Read
News regarding the House of the Dragon show first started surfacing in October 2019
House of the Dragon, the well-awaited Game of Thrones prequel has now gone into production. Just recently, the official Twitter account of the GOT show confirmed this news. The account also revealed a picture of the cast doing a table read.
The account continued to share many more photos of the cast. News regarding the House of the Dragon show first started surfacing in October 2019. Miguel Sapochnik, the director from Game of Thrones, and Ryan J. Condal, the former showrunner of Colony, will be running the new series.
George R.R. Martin will be the executive producer and co-creator of the House of the Dragon show. Of course, being the writer of the original Game of Thrones novels, he needs no introduction.
Currently, the House of the Dragon show is starring Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Lfans, Sonoya Mizuno, Paddy Considine, and Matt Smith. We might find more information regarding the cast with time.
The House of the Dragon prequel focuses on the Targaryen family. Furthermore, events in this series are set about 300 years before the events of the GOT. And since it is a prequel, fans can expect similar drama but with a lot more dragons.
A prequel is what fans have always wanted. However, this is not the only GOT-related show in production. In fact, it is just one of the 6 spin-offs of Game of Thrones that are planned. Other spin-offs under development by HBO include 9 Voyages and 10,000 Ships.
The animated Flea Bottom show would be another spin-off along with The Tales of Dunk and Egg.
Currently, there is no confirm news regarding when the filming of the House of the Dragon show will end. However, since the show is expected to release in 2022, it seems like this will be the first Game of Thrones spin-off to hit the screens. This series could possibly become the next big thing for HBO.
