House of the Dragon Trailer Has More Dragons Than All of GOT

The House of the Dragon trailer features a brewing war between the Targaryen family and lots of dragons.

The GOT prequel, House of the Dragon will be massive, and everyone is getting major hints about that. The new House of the Dragon trailer was released recently that shows the war that is brewing between the Targaryen family and a lot of dragons.

With the House of the Dragon show, HBO is returning to the fantasy world created by George RR Martin. The show’s events will be set 200 years before the events of the Game of Thrones series. The focus will only be on the Targaryen dynasty and their dragons. Though the show has been in development for years, the first teaser trailer of it was released earlier this year. Thankfully, the new trailer is bigger and better.

The main cast of House of the Dragon includes many prominent names like Matt Smith, Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans, Emma D’Arcy, and Sonoya Mizuno. The series is expected to release in August (in Australia also), and the new trailer shows Rhaenyra Targaryen’s quest to become Queen of Westeros and sit on the Iron Throne. It also shows the family feud over this power that breaks out between Prince Daemon Targaryen and King Viserys I Targaryen. The trailer is also packed with many dragons.

House of the Dragon will adapt the Dance of the Dragons event from the source material. The war in the show begins when King Viserys continues to view Princess Rhaenyra as the heir to the Iron Throne. It is problematic because, as per the custom in the Seven Kingdoms, the eldest son – Prince Daemon in this case – was to be the official heir.

The Targaryen’s and most of the Seven Kingdoms erupt into a war for the throne, and the Targaryen’s use their dragons to win. It ultimately leads to the dance of the dragons and the death of almost all dragons.

House of the Dragon is the first-ever Game of Thrones spin-off. As the last season of that show wasn’t well received, the makers of the latest show have to deal with the pressure of winning the biggest fans back. With the trailer, it’s clear that the show can give fans (even those who didn’t like Season 8 of Game of Thrones to enjoy a fantasy story filled with the Targaryen war and several dragons.
