Invincible – Amazon Prime Video

Without a doubt, Invincible is one of the most popular TV shows on Amazon Prime Video. Just two or three days ago, fans thought that there is just one instalment left to watch. Though, hardcore fans of the show have been spamming Amazon on social media to renew Invincible for a while now.

Luckily, the wishes have been granted. The official Twitter account of Invincible just announced that the show will be renewed not just for another season, but for two more. According to fans, it is highly unlikely that season 2 and season 3 will cover all the source material.

So, there is a possibility of more seasons of Invincible coming up after that. Overall, the show will have to run through 144 issues of comic books. Season 1 covers only 24 issues. So, it makes sense that multiple seasons will be needed to cover the remaining material.

But of course, for that, the Invincible show must follow the same path as the comics. Other factors that it might depend on include the length of the episodes, number of the episodes, and the speed of progress.

The creator of Invincible, Robert Kirkman is planning around 5-7 seasons. Regarding that, he said to Screen Rant, “I could see this going for somewhere between five to seven seasons, depending. It is not something that’s set in stone; it could go much longer than that, and it could go much less than that. Who knows?”

So, who knows? Invincible might even carry on until 10 or more seasons, given the fact that the creators have enough source material. That coupled with the huge success of the series gives the streaming platform enough reasons to go on with it.

There have been reports of an Invincible live-action movie too. Apparently, Kirkman is planning to transform Invincible into a full franchise. But for that, the live-action movie must match up with the high standards that the TV show has set.

But that is for later. For now, fans continue to rejoice at the fact that their favourite show isn’t going anywhere, any time soon.
