Apple is planning to launch several smartphones in 2021. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 13 might have a smaller notch and faster refresh displays. He also shared more information about what Apple is up to and news on the flagship phone. Keep scrolling to know more.

The iPhone 13

The iPhone that will be launching this year might be called iPhone 13. The line-up will include the same models as it had with iPhone 12. There will be one iPhone 13 mini and two iPhone 13 Pro models. The latter might have 120Hz refresh rate screens due to the innovative LTPO display technology. This change will bring Apple at par with several Android flagships that have high refresh rate screens.

Kuo also stated that all the iPhone 13 models would have a smaller notch. He shared that some of the iPhone models planned for 2022 will have a hole-punch display that is at par with the display of Android phones like Google Pixel phones or Samsung’s Galaxy S21 line-up. Kuo did not share how the hole-punch display will impact Apple’s Face ID biometric authentication system. The iPhone 13 devices will also have a lightning port, larger battery capacities than iPhone 12 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X60 modem.

Kuo also shared that the company might launch an all-screen iPhone sometime in 2023. He mentioned that the new iPhone SE that supports 5G might also have an improved processor and might launch in the first half of next year.

Rumours also suggest that Apple might offer a terabyte local storage with the iPhone 13 line-up. Apple leaker Jon Prosser confirmed this as well. Apple is late in this regard as Samsung has offered 1 TB phones since the Galaxy S10 series.

A few other features that might be available in iPhone 13 line-up as per leakers are a better ultra-wide camera, always-on display with quicker 120Hz ProMotion Apple screen technology, sensor-shift optical image stabilisation and a stronger MagSafe magnetic connector.
