Though the year 2020 has been miserable for most entertainment buffs with releases getting postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, there is finally some good news. Entourage actor, Doug Ellin, who also served as the writer and creator of the bro comedy-drama series, is dropping hints about rebooting the show.

As per Kevin Dillion, who played the role of Johnny “Drama” Chase on the show, Ellin opens up to the possibility of a reboot after realizing how many people still love the show and how many watched it when they were stuck at home.

In a recent interview, Dillion stated, “Isn’t that just a great show for a pandemic.” He added “I’ve been working on Doug for a long time and finally he said, ‘I would maybe consider a reboot of Entourage.’ Wouldn’t that be cool? All the actors want to do it as well.”

Dillion is right as we all know that Jeremy Piven wants a reboot of Entourage. He has mentioned many times that he thinks the character he played for the show, Ari Gold deserves a spin-off.

When asked about the plans revealed by Dillion, Ellin made a remark but did not confirm or reject the idea of a reboot of Entourage, He wrote on Instagram, “I am considering my consideration. We are growing, and the love for Entourage is definitely on the rise. I appreciate each and every one of you.”

For those of you who are unaware, Entourage was executive produced by Mark Wahlberg and was inspired by real-life stories of the movie star and his friends. It aired on HBO from 2004 to 2011. It’s run was as long as the mega-popular Game of Thrones series, but thankfully it had a less controversial ending.

Entourage’s return was demanded by fans so many times that a feature film was released in 2015 that wrapped up the individual story of each character. So, the show may get a limited series revival this time too. For that to happen, Ellin and company and HBO should be on the same page.
