Jake Paul fought Tyron Woodley in a Showtime event (pay-per-view) at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on August 29, 2021. This time he defeated Tyron Woodley, former UFC welterweight champion, thanks to a split decision that was taken after eight tense rounds.

The opening rounds of the game perfectly demonstrated why Paul had chosen a Cruiserweight bout. It’s because he wanted to ensure that the cards were stacked in his favour due to a discernible size difference.

Those who watched the match agree that Woodley had considerable difficulty in closing the distance as he had little or no activity on the scorecard. Some people thought that he might not have any real impact.

Interestingly, the tide turned in round 4 when Woodley rocked Jake Paul and pushed him against the ropes. After eight rounds, it was evident that even Floyd Mayweather‘s training camps were not enough for Woodley to win against Jake Paul. He wasn’t as proactive as needed.

After the match was over, judge Phil Rogers scored the fight for Woodley, but judge Dana DePaolo and Jaime Garayua scored it for Jake Paul.

Thanks to this win, Jake Paul is now a professional boxer with 4-0. He beat former NBA star Nate Robinson, fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib, and former Bellator and ONE Championship welterweight titleholder Ben Askren before this match.

When asked about the next fight, Jake Paul said that he is likely to take some time off to recharge. He also wasn’t clear on who his next opponent might be. He said, “We’ll see. He added, “I’ve been boxing for 18 months now. I haven’t been to the dentist. I’ve barely gotten my hair cut in the past two years. My teeth are crooked, my nose is crooked. I’ve dedicated the past 18 months to this. I haven’t stopped. I think I might need to chill out for a second and figure out who I am. I’m only 24. I’m changing, I’m growing, I’m learning a lot. I’m going through ups and downs. I’m making mistakes, but I’m keeping my head on straight. I’ll get back in the gym when I’m ready, and we’ll see.”
