JEFF BEZOS PROJECTED TO BE THE WORLD'S FIRST TRILLIONAIRE BY 2026

Jeff Bezos‘ rising success continues, despite — or perhaps due to — the present situation of the world right now where everyone is staying home as the coronavirus pandemic looms. Recently, the analytical firm Comparisun published a study on the Amazon CEO. According to the study, Jeff Bezos will eventually become history’s first trillionaire, attaining the status just within the decade.

Though Jeff Bezos has pledged billions of dollars to help battle the coronavirus, the recent pandemic has skyrocketed his own net worth and that of his company, Amazon. The company’s Q1 2020 report shows that it made over $75 billion USD in revenue, perhaps at the expense of it’s own employees.

Jeff Bezos’ Amazon has dipped in and out of the “trillion dollar club” in the recent years, which includes the world’s most valuable tech giants: Microsoft, Apple and Google’s parent, Alphabet. However, Jeff Bezos’ own net worth is nothing if not consistent.

In the last five years, his amassed wealth — which is estimated by assessing his liquid assets together with his Amazon shares— has increased by an average of 34 percent; if this trend remains consistent, Jeff Bezos will be a trillionaire by 2026 at the age of 62 years. More trillionaires may follow in the coming years, including Jack Ma (estimated 2030), Bernard Arnault (estimated (2033) and Mark Zuckerberg (estimated 2036). If the analytical company’s estimates hold true, Facebook’s Zuckerberg will become the world’s youngest trillionaire at 51.

At least seven workers from Jeff Bezos’ Amazon have died from coronavirus since it broke out, and the company has also reportedly fired employees for speaking out, exposing to the public that they breached company policy.
