HBO is working on a Game of Thrones Sequel series that would revolve around Jon Snow. It will mark the return of Kit Harington as the popular HBO TV series character. Here’s everything we know or can guess about it.

Game of Thrones spinoff about Jon Snow

Game of Thrones was a massive hit for HBO, and the network wants to keep earning from it. Many spinoffs are already in the world. The first of them, House of the Dragon, will premiere this August. Jon Snow was one of the most likable characters in the series. He was an honourable bastard of Lord Eddard Stark who joined the Night’s Watch and faced many challenges.

Jon Snow’s death at the end of Season 5 was one of the most talked-about episodes of the series. Thankfully, he was revived by the Red Woman. In the eighth season, his story ended when he was banished from Westeros after killing his lover (who also turned out to be his aunt), Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke), as he was revealed to be Aegon Targaryen, the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.

The last we saw him, Jon Snow went north beyond the Wall with the Wildlings and his loyal dire wolf Ghost. It seemed that he was at peace. But now, Jon Snow’s peace might be disrupted as he will likely deal with new challenges in the new series. No details about the series have been made public yet. Even the members of the creative team aren’t announced yet.

So, we can only speculate what the new Jon Snow series would be about. Maybe it will go deeper than before about what lies far in the North. It might also mark the return of some of Lord Snow’s friends, like Tormund (played by Kristofer Hivju). The series might also revolve around his life amongst the wildlings and how they live as no White Walkers are left to pose a threat.

Some people think it would have been better to make a sequel around Arya’s journey as she decided to sail west of Westeros and explore lands that no one has explored.
