Keanu Reeves is Duke Caboom in Toy Story 4 and We Can’t Keep Calm!

Whenever a film teaser or trailer is released by the makers of an anticipated film, the fans go crazy. It happened recently when Sonic the Hedgehog trailer was unveiled by the showrunners. This time around, a new teaser TV spot for Toy Story 4 has been unveiled and even we can’t keep calm. In the TV spot, we can see Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom. What’s his character about and why are we excited? Read on to know.

Keanu Reeves will portray the role of Duke Caboom, a Canadian stuntman with a tragic backstory and an amazing cape. The figure is based on Evel Knievel who gained fame by performing even the riskiest and dangerous stunts. Reeves will surely breathe life into the character as he is a motorbike enthusiast who knows several valuable tricks.

 

We are so excited about Keanu Reeves playing an important role in Toy Story 4 because his acting skills are amazing. He had reprised his role in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum that will delight the audience later this month.  

Talking about why Reeves was a top choice for the character, Toy Story 4 Director, Josh Cooley revealed that Reeves was the first choice because he is a Canadian and a badass. Pixar was more thrilled to have him on board when it was mentioned how Reeves also like motorbikes. It was a nice little bonus for everyone.

 

Keanu Reeves also confirmed that he is a part of the popular film and has even done four recording sessions for it. Though he didn’t reveal more details of the character, he did mention how he bagged the role. He got a call from the filmmakers out of the blue, and they pitched the character to him. Obviously, he accepted the offer they made.

In the film, the main case will be the same as Tom Hanks will play Woody, Annie Potts will play Bo Peep, and Tim Allen will be the Buzz. In an interview, Hanks said that the film would have an impactful ending.
