Louis Vuitton Opens Its First Ever Luxury Restaurant and Café
Have a first look at its new “maison” in Osaka, Japan
Louis Vuitton has now ventured into the food and beverage industry with its first ever restaurant and café, Sugalabo V and Le Café V.
Both restaurant and café are located in Osaka, Japan and it is said to feature dishes from famed chef, Yosuke Suga, once a protégé of the legendary, 32-Michelin star chef, Joël Robuchon. The new Louis Vuitton café, Le Café V is located on the fourth floor of the store, where cocktails and other drinks are to be served on an outdoor terrace — quite perfect for shoppers who need a bit of rest and relaxation while shopping.
The new Louis Vuitton restaurant, Sugalabo V, is only open for dinner and is a brilliant concept of Chef Suga’s critically acclaimed, highly-exclusive restaurant with the same name in Tokyo. Just behind a set of speakeasy doors, the new Louis Vuitton restaurant features a luxurious open kitchen, designed with sleek embellishments and warm woods, distinctly LV-branded.
Louis Vuitton has partnered with the fashion house’s furniture and travel-inspired accessories collection creator, Tokujin Yoshioka, to add the finishing details to the restaurant and café. Yoshioka is known for his contemporary, nature-inspired concepts, fitting for the decor of the new Luis Vuitton establishments. Interior designed by Jun Aoki, the concept is meant to resemble a ship floating on water, with subtle reminders of billowing sails.
