Louis Vuitton Will Drop 9 of Virgil Abloh’s Air Force 1s in June

The most highly anticipated sneakers are almost here.

One of the most anticipated shoes of the century are about to be dropped. LV will soon release Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s designed by the late Virgil Abloh. On Tuesday, the fashion house shared that 9 editions of the sneakers created for the spring 2022 menswear show Abloh designed for the luxury fashion house will be released all over the world in June. They will be dropped via the digital channels of the French brand.

The designer had created 47 bespoke versions of Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s for the show. The nine editions that are expected to be released will be quite diverse. They range from all-black and all-white shoes that look minimal with just LV’s monogram to pairs that have a combination of metallic embossed leather with colourful suede.

The Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s, made at Vuitton’s Venetian atelier, will feature Abloh’s signature air quote detailing around the word “Lacet” on shoestrings and the word “Air” on the soles. Before the shoes are available in the stores, top clients of LV will be given the opportunity to pre-order the shoes. They will be available in sizes from 3.5 to 18.

An exhibition of all 47 designs will be on display at Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn from May 20 to 31 for those who want to see Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s before buying them. The exhibition space was designed to resemble the design studio where Abloh worked in Paris while designing LV Air Force 1s.

Five more Louis Vuitton and Nike installations will also open throughout New York City at Domino Park, Grand Central, South Street Seaport, Astor Place, Columbus Circle, Flatiron Plaza, and Gansevoort Plaza on the same dates.

In addition to the offline displays, LV has also given a sneak peek at how the LV Air Force 1s were made via a short video and a beautiful image gallery. They show how a white monogram iteration was prepared. The prices of Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s will be approximately US$ 2,609 for the mids and about US$ 2,098 for the lows.
