One of the most anticipated sneaker drops, the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1, is planned for July 19, 2022. The fashion house’s website has even confirmed the same. Another good news for sneaker fans is that the shoes might be easier to snag than previously anticipated.

This year also marks the 40th birthday of Air Force 1. Abloh teamed up with Nike to celebrate the special occasion and created 47 bespoke pairs of the iconic sneaker for LV’s spring 2022 collection. The partnership began before Abloh’s untimely passing last November when he was just 41.

The first drop planned for Tuesday will include the first nine pairs from the retail collection. Interestingly, each fuses the shoe’s famous silhouette with luxurious materials and even Maison’s insignia.

The initial group has two multi-coloured sneakers, three two-tone shoes (blue and white, green, and white, or red and white), and four monochrome options. The latter includes an attention-grabbing metallic gold pair.

The seven low-top sneakers are available for US$2,750, while the two mid-tops can be purchased by spending US$3,450. Each colourway is available in US sizes from 3.5 to 18. A dozen more pairs from the collection can also be launched later this year.

The Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 drop will be open to many more people than initially expected. Initially, it was assumed that the shoes would be offered at first to the house’s VIP clients and some of the most well-connected sneakerheads. That doesn’t seem to be the case.

The shoes will be available to anyone who can connect to louisvuitton.com. It is not yet clarified whether the shoes will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis or if a person will have to enter a raffle. No matter how things go, one should be quick to snag a pair.

The Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 collab will feature nine colourways, with 12 more colourways set to arrive to complete the 21-style range. Pricing and launch details for Australia are yet to be shared.
