Make Your Next Vacation Out of the World with This Unique Space Hotel
A trip to the Voyager Station space hotel will cost about AUD 6.48 million
If you ever wanted to make your next vacation out of this world, then here’s your chance. Orbital Assembly Corporation has announced that it will begin work soon on a space hotel that will become a reality in 2026 or 2027. Known as Voyager Station, the hotel will have a spa, movie theatre, and even a few restaurants.
As per the early renderings, the space hotel might look like a Ferris Wheel that’s floating in orbit. The outer ring will be connected to the centre hub of the entire structure by using different elevators. The hotel might have up to 280 guests at a time and 112 crew members. The staff will be trained to live in space. A person staying here can also take a spacewalk.
A three and a half-day trip to the Voyager Station space hotel will cost about AUD 6.48 million (USD 5 million). It is still cheaper than about AUD 71.33 million (About USD 55 million) that a person has to pay to the International Space Station.
This space hotel is the first-ever built and it will be interesting to see how many such hotels would come to be in the future. Direct competitors of Orbital Assembly Corporation like Axiom Space might go into this field in the future too. In January, Axiom had revealed plans to start constructing an AUD 2.59 billion (USD 2 billion) AxStation in 2026. These plans would come into fruition by 2028 only. Hence, Orbital Assembly Corporation seems to be winning the timeline race.
Orbital Assembly Corporation is a construction company that is run by the former pilot and the President of the Gateway Foundation, John Blincow. Talking about the Voyager Station space hotel project, he said, “We’re trying to make the public realize that this golden age of space travel is just around the corner.” He added, “It’s coming. It’s coming fast.”
The Voyager Station space hotel is the second innovation that has impressed people in the last few days. The other was the supersonic jet that also sounds impressive and is a luxury for rich people who have millions lying around.
