According to some reports, Apple will be releasing a mixed-reality headset soon. While rumours about were in the air from a long time, Ming Chi-Kuo, a reliable prognosticator has now given us the dates to look out for.

According to Kuo, Apple will be releasing a mixed-reality headset by 2022 and by 2025, the company will launch augmented reality glasses. With that, he predicts that between the years 2030-2040, we may also see augmented reality lenses.

The Apple prognosticator further added that the contact lenses will simply transform the world of electronics from ‘visible computing’ to ‘invisible computing’. Furthermore, he also added that there is no official news about such a product currently.

Regarding the mixed-reality headset, Kuo wrote, “We predict that Apple’s MR/AR product roadmap includes three phases: helmet type by 2022, glasses type by 2025, and contact lens type by 2030–2040.”

He also further added, “We foresee that the helmet product will provide AR and VR experiences, while glasses and contact lens types of products are more likely to focus on AR applications.”

According to Kuo, the mixed-reality headset by Apple would be a lot more in comparison to similar devices from the competitors. Along with that, it will have more storage and independent computing power. Though, he suggests that this headset may not be ‘mobile’ in the beginning. But of course, the technology may further improve with better mobility as time goes by.

The unique thing about this mixed-reality headset would be that it will provide both a virtual reality experience and a see-through AR experience. Such a device would provide an incredibly unique and immersive experience in comparison with the existing VR devices.

This may further get integrated with other video-applications from Apple such as Apple TV+, Arcade, and a lot more. And this will simply be another key selling point for apple.

Along with a mixed-reality headset, fans are also already making speculations about the iPhone 13. With that, the world of blockchain is also rapidly expanding, with NFTs slowly making their way into the world of trading tangible assets such as real-estate and artwork.
