Netflix Releases Tiger King's Aftershow, Joe Exotic Nowhere in Sight
Tiger King: Murder, Madness and Mayhem – Netflix

Tiger King is one of the most talked-about TV series of this year. With millions of people stuck at home during the coronavirus pandemic, the series has been watched and admired by more people than usual. So, when the eighth episode of the series, Tiger King and I was launched, people expected a lot from it.

Tiger King and I is a 40-minute episode in which host Joel McHale talks to people from the Joe Exotic Universe. Talking about Tiger King and I, McHale said “I called up Netflix and insisted on hosting a glitzy follow-up special with the highest possible production quality. They said, ‘We’re going to mail you an iPhone, knock yourself out.’”

In Tiger King and I, viewers can clearly see that McHale is on his couch in Southern California home and is speaking to the guests via video hook-up. All the guests are also at home and using technology to share their views to ensure that they don’t break the rules of the lockdown required by the coronavirus pandemic.

As Exotic is behind bars, he is not seen in Tiger King and I. Doc Antle, the trainer of big cats and Carole Baskin, Exotic’s rival haven’t made an appearance as well. Some of the faces that viewers can see are Jeff and Lauren Lowe, the current owners of the Zoo, the zookeeper, Erik Cowie, John Reinke, the zoo manager, and animal keeper Kelsi Saffery. It also features Josh Dial, Joe’s campaign manager and Rick Kirkham, Joe Exotic TV producer.

All the guests in Tiger King and I are quite blunt, as they were in the first seven episodes of Tiger King.

The popularity of Tiger King and I is not a surprise given the fact that everyone is talking about the Netflix series. US President Donald Trump has been asked whether he will grant a pardon to Exotic and a miniseries, as well as a true crime show on the topic, are also planned. Even Saturday Night Live’s latest episode included a few jokes about the popular TV series.
