Arya Stark – Game of Thrones

The Game of Thrones finale has left many fans hoping for a sequel because most of the fans think that the story moved too fast and many questions were left unanswered. If you also think the same, then we have bad news for you. HBO has confirmed that there will be no sequel to the Game of Thrones and has broken the hearts and hopes of tens of thousands of fans.

Many people were hoping that the channel would plan a sequel with Arya Stark as the main character and she will probably use the faceless assassin training to explore the new west. Some fans even requested that the eighth season should be remade with competent writers. None of this will ever happen.

In a recent interview, with the Hollywood Reporter, the Programming President of HBO, Casey Bloys stated that there would absolutely not be a sequel to Game of Thrones. He added that shows, even epic and iconic shows like Game of Thrones needs to come to an end and it’s a part of the TV life cycle.

Bloys also said that D.B. Weiss and David Benioff had decided to conclude the show a long time ago and they are sticking to the plans they made years back. He denied that any sequel with Arya as the key character is a possibility. He reasoned that he doesn’t want to take characters from the world of Game of Thrones and put them into a new world where someone else would decide their fate. Bloys said that he wants the characters to be the artistic piece that they have got.

Though the sequel of Game of Thrones is ruled out, it doesn’t mean the fans would have to say goodbye to the show as a whole. Bloys confirmed that three prequel projects are planned, two in the works and the third would have a pilot in June. He neither confirmed or denied that fans will get three peeks in the world created by R.R. Martin in the next few years.
