Pagani has revealed its latest hyper car, the Pagani Huayra Tricolore that is built to honour the 60th anniversary of the National Aerobatic Patrol, which is also known as the Frecce Tricolori. The troupe of 10 jets has dazzled people from all over the world for more than half a century. So, people will surely have high expectations from the car as well. It seems the car will meet all those expectations perfectly.

The cost of Pagani Huayra Tricolore is about AUD 8.8 million, and it differs from the standard Huayra range-mates due to its unique styling elements that are inspired by the Aermacchi MB-339A P.A.N. fighter jet. The car has a front bumper with a huge splitter as well as new side extractors that maximise the intercooler efficiency. They also help in delivering “a completely new aerodynamic profile.” The rear has a new roof scoop that can help feed air into the V12 engine as well as guide air over the redesigned rear wing of the car.

The shape of the Pagani Huayra Tricolore’s rear wing supports is inspired by the tail fin of the jet. This car also has a large rear diffuser which ups downforce and helps to “[maximise] the extraction of air from the underbody.”

Drivers can also see a Pitot tube in Pagani Huayra Tricolore that is installed in the bonnet of the car. This pitot is used by the aircraft mentioned above to measure macroscopic airspeed, which is done by measuring air. The Pagani Huayra Tricolore also has Aircraft-inspired anodised aluminium which is used to create the side air intakes as well as the front headlight surrounds.

The Pagani Huayra Tricolore also has a blue carbon-fibre exterior finish that is adorned with green, white, and red decals which are along the sides of the car and give the nod to the Air Force’s Italian heritage. The tri-colour stripes are also on the leather sections of the seats.

The Pagani Huayra Tricolore

As many car enthusiasts might have guessed, the Pagani Huayra Tricolore is powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged, V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG that was used by the standard Huayra. It has been uprated to produce 618kW of power as well as 1100Nm of torque.

Only 3 Pagani Huayra Tricolore would be built. This number also holds significance as it acknowledges the “three main leaders” of the aerobatics formation, which are the Commander (that is number 0), Head of Formation (that is number 1) and the Soloist (that is number 10).
