The Palace of Versailles is one of the most preferred tourist destinations in the world. In the pre-COVID-19 times, it was was extremely popular and attracted over 10 million visitors. Now, Airelles Château de Versailles opens the first-ever Palace of Versailles luxury hotel, Le Grand Contrôle. This new luxury hotel  is quite stunning. This regal getaway is the first-ever in the 340-year-old history of the Palace of Versailles. It is housed within three stunning buildings that date back to 1681 and will have 14 luxurious regal rooms, suites, and a signature suite. It will also offer an amazing dining experience by 20-Michelin star chef Alain Ducasse and a restorative Spa by Valmont. The hotel opened by the Palace of Versailles will also have an 50-ft. indoor swimming pool and an exclusive access to the palace grounds and the Château.

 

The hotel will also have complimentary experiences like the tours of the retreats that were built for King Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette as well as the Palace of Versailles itself. The property was restored by renowned interior designer and architect Christophe Tollemer.

 

Each of the regal rooms and the suites is named after renowned individuals that have been associated with the history of the Chateau. One thing that makes this hotel by the Palace of Versailles unique is that it has an 18th-century style of decoration throughout the hotel and looks breath-taking thanks to the use of authentic colours, artwork, chandeliers, fabrics, and artefacts.  Note, the attention to detail pays off tremendously.

 

According to the Airelles group, the Palace of Versailles hotel, will offer royal banquets served in an array of gold, silver or vermeil dome-covered dishes and the restaurant team will be wearing period costumes. They stated this about the dinner: ‘A bell rings at 8:30 pm to signal the beginning of dinner, where guests experience a five-course gourmet feast commencing with a selection of soups and starters followed by roasts and salads, then dessert and finally, fruit.’
