Finally the Samsung Galaxy Fold to Launch Soon in Australia
After a long journey, the Fold will be released here
After the success of Samsung Galaxy Note 10, the company had a lot of pressure to perform and provide something more innovative and user-friendly. Samsung stood up to the challenge and soon announced its latest invention, Samsung Galaxy Fold. This created a race among the competitors to create a foldable smartphone too.
The initial review of Samsung Galaxy Fold was not very positive as the company had to roll back the device and fix it further. After a few months, Fold was released overseas, but Australians didn’t hear a word about when it would be launched in the country and how much it would cost. We’ve finally got the answers to these questions.
Samsung has made two key changes in Samsung Galaxy Fold. First, it has a T-shaped clip at the base of the device that will stop users from peeling off the protective film that was considered as a screen protector. Second, the hinge gap has been reduced to ensure minimizing of dust and debris that earlier led to some short out. Despite the changes, we recommend that you don’t take it near the beach or for the hike as it might create problems.
Samsung Galaxy Fold has a 7.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex display that makes viewing movies or images fun, a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED outer display that enhances the viewing experience further, triple rear camera, dual front camera and a 10 MP cover camera. Samsung Galaxy Fold also has a Snapdragon 855 processor, 12GB RAM, 512GB storage and a 4,380 battery. It will be available with Android Pie only.

Garry McGregor, Vice-President of IT and Mobile at Samsung Electronics Australia, said “This is a landmark moment for the mobile industry in Australia. With Galaxy Fold, Samsung’s pioneering technology has created a new category of smartphone with a first-of-its-kind user experience. Australians today are embracing larger screens as they consume, capture, share, and do more on-the-go. From the moment you pick it up and unfold it, the Galaxy Fold unlocks a completely new large-screen experience.”
Aussies can get their hands on Samsung Galaxy Fold by shelling out AU$ 2,999 from October 30. The device will be on display in selected stores across the nation. We advise that you at least try it before you buy it. Only time will tell whether Samsung Galaxy Fold is worth the price or not. Till now, we think it’s super expensive and out of reach for most people who don’t have cash lying around in their homes. What are your thoughts?
