Shang-Chi Post Credits Scene Give Hints About the Future of MCU

Shang-Chi is largely standalone except when its stingers tease the future

For those who find the Marvel universe confusing, the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings could be a great first movie entry point. That is because the events in this film take place after Endgame. Though, fans might benefit from watching Iron Man and Iron Man 3 first.

However, one interesting thing about the Shing-Chi film is that after the end credits, the movie gives us hints about what is coming next. In the first credits scene, we see Katy (Awkwafina) and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) having a chat with Wong (Benedict Wong).

 

 

Later in the scene, we see a holographic projection of Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel along with Bruce Banner. The group talks about the ten rings bracelet. In the scene, Wong explains that the bracelets are giving off some beacon. However, it remains unknown whether the bracelets feature advanced technology, magic, and an extraterrestrial origin.

For now, in the Shang-Chi franchise, the bracelets’ origin has not been confirmed. All that we know is that they were found by Wenwu. So, it is likely that down the line, we will get to know more about the story of these powerful bracelets. And that is exactly what the post-credit scene implies.

 

After that, we also see a tease on an emergency Captain Marvel has to deal with in the post-credits scene. We will likely learn more about it in The Marvels. Furthermore, the scene also shows Bruce Banner’s projection in the form of a human instead of Smart Hulk.

Eventually, the Shang-Chi film ends after the credits with a karaoke. So, fans are wondering if the next Shang-Chi film will revolve around the bracelets.

 

Since the first movie in the franchise was titled “The Legend of the Ten Rings” and now the bracelet is in the possession of Shang-Chi, it makes sense for the writers to put more light onto the bracelets in the coming movies.

Furthermore, the post-credits scene also hints at the return of the Ten Rings. As we see that Xialing is apparently going to use the Ten Rings for herself even though Shang-Chi stated earlier that his sister was aiming to bring down The Ten Rings operation.
