Marvel Studios‘ upcoming Spider-Man 3 is planning to be one of the most ambitious superhero movies ever produced, bridging across three Spider-Man franchises through its MCU multiverse with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man taking the lead.

Now, new rumours from The Illuminerdi is suggesting that both Willem Dafoe and Thomas Haden Church will reprise their roles as the Green Goblin and Sandman from the Spider-Man trilogy of Sam Raimi. While both actors are still negotiating their appearances in the new Spider-Man 3 movie and nothing has been finalized, reports reveal that the two characters have always been part of Marvel Studio’s plan for the Spider-Man 3 film.
This news comes after numerous castings have already been confirmed from other Spider-Man films. Previously, Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina confirmed to be doing their roles as Electro from Amazing Spider-Man 2 and the Doc Octopus from Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, while recent rumours suggest that Andrew Garfield will also be returning as the friendly neighborhood superhero alongside Kirsten Dunst’s Mary Jane Watson in the 2002 trilogy.
