Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 is Breaking Viewing Records of Netflix

The creepy Netflix sci-fi show has been leaving viewers utterly petrified.

The latest instalment of Stranger Things 4 Volume 1 is a massive hit. It is breaking Netflix’s viewing records and taking over other popular Netflix series. Another interesting thing is that Season 4, Volume 1 of the show, has boosted a classic 1985 track to the top of iTunes charts.

Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 has overtaken the second season for Bridgerton, which was released on March 25^th. Soon after the release of Bridgerton, the number of hours viewed reached 193 million. Now, the number of hours viewed for the Netflix series has surpassed it to reach 286.79 million.

The latest season of Stranger Things is also the first-ever to reach number 1 in 83 nations. It also reached the top 10 list in all 93 countries Netflix tracks. The success of the sci-fi show brings some relief to Netflix as the streamer took a huge hit in April. In only 24 hours, it lost $50 billion in value off its market cap after sharing its first loss of subscribers in 10 years. Bigger losses are being predicted for the second quarter as well.

Since its release, Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 has been the centre of attention for many people. Some people have been so terrified by the new plot that they have even threatened to throw away their grandfather clocks (spoiler alert – because whoever sees the clock or hears its eerie tick-tocking in the show dies soon after).

Another horror associated with the show is a sex toy inspired by The Demogorgon. Stars of the show are also keeping people talking about it. Joe Keery’s recently revealed the effort – or lack of – he puts in to maintain his lustrous locks.

Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 is available to watch on Netflix now. And though the latest season is very engaging and worth the wait, we recommend you don’t watch it in one day. Instead, it would be best to space it out so that you don’t feel sad, empty and longing while waiting for the next volume (July 1st). A month can be a long time to wait when a show ends on a nail-biting cliff-hanger.
