…Not that there was any doubt of that, but it’s nice to know that it’s official.

HBO Max just renewed Succession for season 4. Fans of the show may not be surprised that it is further being extended. Nevertheless, the official confirmation is still exciting for many. Though, based on the success of the show, it looks like HBO wants fans to see more in season 4.

Succession follows the story of Logan Roy and his horrendous back-stabbing family. Brian Cox plays the role of the media tycoon, who decides to step down. However, this starts a race of Succession in the family (not a spoiler).

*Spoiler Alert*

By the end of Succession season 2, we saw that Logan got exhausted due to Kendall, his son. This led him to start an alliance with Roman, his other son, and his daughter, Shiv played by Sarah Snook (the cover star of Vogue Australia this month).

Succession season 4

The creator of the show, Jesse Armstrong has also created the successful comedy staple Peep Show. Overall, Succession has received great reviews from viewers and critics. So, it makes sense that HBO has renewed the show for season 4.

Currently, Succession has 1.4 million viewers on all platforms. This is the highest number of viewers that any HBO Max series has recorded on the premiere night. Furthermore, the current season had 13% more viewers as compared with the previous one.

Though, fans are speculating that Season 4 is going to be the last one in the series. Regarding this, Georgia Pritchett, a writer stated, “I think the maximum would be five seasons but possibly more like four,” she told the newspaper. “At this point [Armstrong] is saying only one more [season]. But that happens every time. We’ve got a good end in sight.”

For now, season 3 of Succession is available to watch. So, consider sinking into it while season 4 is in the making.

However, HBO has not given a release date for season 4 yet. Nevertheless, since the show is set to arrive on HBO Max, it will be available in Australia on the same day as its worldwide release.
