We finally have a list of the performers that we will get to see at the Halftime Show during the Super Bowl LVI. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige will take the Halftime Show stage in California at the SoFi Stadium.

The last time the Super Bowl event was hosted in LA was in 1993. So, it is not surprising that we will get to see some Californian artists at the Halftime Show lineup in the coming year. For instance, Snoop Dogg was born in Long Beach. On the other hand, Lamar and Dr. Dre are from Compton.

Also, their Halftime Show performances will mark the first time these artists are present on the stage together. Together, these Super Bowl artists have 19 Billboard number 1 albums and 43 Grammys combined. Hence, their influence is unquestionable.

Furthermore, the Halftime Show this year will mark the 3rd collaboration between Roc Nation by Jay-Z, Pepsi, and NFL. Regarding the opportunity, Dr. Dre stated, “The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career.” Dr. Dre continued, “I’m grateful to Jay-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL, and Pepsi as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar for joining me in what will be an unforgettable cultural moment.”

Jay-Z, aka Shawn Carter, also had something to say about the event. He stated that all the artists will be joined by the “lyrical genius, Eminem and the timeless Queen, Mary J. Blige.” According to Jay-Z, the Halftime Show this time is going to be a historical event since nobody has ever pulled it off on such a scale.

According to the Pepsi VP of Marketing, Todd Kaplan, Super Bowl 2022 will reveal the impact that hip hop has on the music scene today. The Super Bowl 2022 Halftime Show is expected to take place on 13th February 2022 in Inglewood, California.

The Super Bowl LVI will be televised live here in Australia on Channel Seven, streamed on the NFL network, and on ESPN.

In other news, Squid Game is on the way to becoming the biggest Netflix show in many countries, including Australia.
