The 2021 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible was unveiled recently. This release is just a month after the launch of its fixed-roof sibling that was released in March. It is supposed to be the quickest and most driver focused offering from Bentley’s drop-top line-up.

The 2021 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible is powered by a ‘standard’ model’s 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 that is capable of sending 485kW (which is up by 18kW) and 900Nm to all four wheels thanks to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The vehicle can go from zero to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds. It is one tenth slower than the hard top model.

The speed dynamics include an all-wheel drive system that offers a more rear-biased torque split in Sport mode. It also offers a brand-new rear-wheel steering system, an a new electronically- controlled limited-slip rear differential. It also comes with a set of recalibrated transmission maps. Bentley is also claiming a 100 per cent quicker shifts in Sports mode as compared to the regular Continental GT W12 convertible.

People who plans to buy can have carbon-ceramic brakes as an option, but the 48-volt active anti-roll bars and tri-chamber adaptive air suspension come as standard. The styling differences of the 2021 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible include lower bumper intakes, a darker front grille and sportier side skirts. The wheels are finished in silver or gloss black.

Inside of this convertible include diamond-patterned quilted seat trim, Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel, metallic sports pedals, Speed embroidery in the headrests and Speed sill plates. The fabric roof of this Bentley convertible can be lowered or raised in 19 seconds at speeds of up to 50km/h.
