The All-New Mercedes-Benz EQE is Here - Meet the Zero-Emission Future
Mercedes-Benz EQE

The flagship EQS electric limousine by Mercedes-Benz has a younger twin brother. The all-new Mercedes-Benz EQE was revealed recently, and it’s what the zero-emission future looks like. It is the sixth electric model from the EQ sub-brand of Mercedes and has the same EVA platform. Read more about this new baby below.

The Mercedes-Benz EQE will have two variants with plans to launch 4Matic all-wheel-drive variants later. In addition, an AMG performance variant might also show up in a few years. The first, the EQE350, has been shared with the world so far. The car’s output is 215kW and 530Nm, and they are paired with a 90Kwh battery pack that is ideal for a range of 548-660km of driving range.

Key highlights of the Mercedes-Benz EQE are six-phase, permanent-magnet design, battery management software, and a battery that comprises only 10 per cent cobalt. It also has DC fast-charging at up to 170kW. So, the battery can go from 10 to 80 per cent recharge in just 32 minutes. That charge translates to up to 462km of range.

To help recuperate used electrical energy, there are four regenerative braking modes, D+, D, D Auto, and D-. It also has an Eco Assist feature that tunes recuperation to the surroundings of the Mercedes-Benz EQE and the driving situation.

Key exterior features of the car include a single bow roofline and an aero-focused design. It also has a closed-off upper grille panel that splits LED headlights. The rear overhang is shorter than the larger sibling. The car also has a rear lip spoiler, frameless door windows, and a good drag coefficient.

The interior of the Mercedes-Benz EQE is also impressive. It has a futuristic ‘MBUX Hyperscreen’ dashboard which is the same as the larger sibling. In addition, it has a front passenger touchscreen, a central touchscreen, both of which have the MBUX infotainment software and other impressive features like ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice assistant, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. It also has three different views, seven driver profiles, and several AI features.
