Apple is working hard to win the trust of the customers and stay ahead of the competitors by innovating new stuff. After launching iPad Pro, the company is planning to offer unique features to the highly anticipated iPhone 12. It is likely that the gadget will have augmented reality features and an improved portrait mode.

As mentioned before, the iPhone 12 will have several models, and each of the models will have unique features and will be priced according to the features. At least one of the models will have a 3D depth camera that will be present on the rear side. The camera will have a receiving sensor, a laser emitter and corresponding software which will help create a three-dimensional depth map of various objects that are placed in front of the device. This feature will also be handy for Augmented Reality – AR.

It is likely that the new camera technology will be available only on iPhone 12 Pro Max that is pricier than other iPhone 12 options. It is also likely that Apple might also think of offering extra zoom capabilities in the form of periscope lens that’s already available with Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus and other models or Huawei P30 products.

A periscope will offer extra zoom power by orienting lens vertically and making use of a mirror in order to angle it out on the back of the phone. It will allow longer focal length without the need to boost the thickness of the devices

It is likely that the 6.7-inch model of iPhone 12 will get a new camera module known as 7P for the wide-angle lens. This was predicted by renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo. It will also be likely to have 1/1.9-inch sensor that is an improvement from the 1/3.6-inch sensor that’s available in iPhone 11 Pro. In addition to the sensor, iPhone 12 will also likely have the sensor-shift tech.
