Only a few weeks after the launch of new iPads and Apple Watch, Apple is planning to launch iPhone 12. The launch will be organized on October 13 in the US, which translates to October 14 for Australians. The tagline for this event is ‘Hi Speed.’ Though this tagline might represent a lot of things, we guess that it refers to 5G technology that the devices might have.

If you want to enjoy the launch of iPhone 12 in real-time, you will need to get up at an ungodly hour. The live stream will start at 4 am AEDT, which means 3:30 am ACDT, 2:30 am ACST, 6:30 am AEST and 1:30 am AWST.

The official release date of the iPhone 12 is not confirmed yet, primarily because coronavirus has delayed things a lot. But it is hoped that the devices will go on pre-sale next week only.

The launch might include multiple iPhone 12 devices. The first one would be a 5.4-inch iPhone 12, while the second would be a 6.1-inch Pro Model. You might also see a 6.7-inch Pro Max model. The entry-level devices might have 64, 128 and 256GB storage options while the Pro and Pro Max will have 128, 256 and 512GB storage options. All the devices would have the latest A14 Bionic chipsets from Apple.

The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max would likely have flat stainless-steel edges as per people who are familiar with the plans. Other reports have also highlighted that every iPhone 12 model might have flat edges. If that happens, it would be consistent with the design of the latest iPad Air from Apple.

Till now, only iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max had OLED screens, but it might change soon as every iPhone 12 model might also have it. For those of you who do not know, OLED screens provide greater contrast, especially in very bright or dark areas of an image. It ensures that you enjoy more vivid colours.

This upcoming launch of iPhone 12 is another feather on the cap for Apple, the brand was recently in the news for a patent for a foldable iPhone.
