Reports of LG working on a rollable TV are not new. A couple of years back in Las Vegas, the brand revealed a fascinating concept in the Consumer Electronics Show, the LG R1 Rollable OLED TV. But who knew a rollable LG TV would become a reality so soon?

With a revolutionary OLED technology, the LG R1 Rollable OLED TV is available for purchase in Australia on custom orders only. But only if you can spend $130,000 (AUD).

At this price, the company will deliver the rollable TV to your house and install it. Of course, not everybody can afford to spare $130,000 for a television. However, the company is expecting to sell up to a dozen pieces of this rollable OLED TV.

Of course, it would take only one rich guy to flex the fascinating technology to his other rich friends. And that would lead to more orders. Not a bad idea at all.

Overall, the price of this OLED TV seems justified. After all, it took a long time for Engineers to come up finalize the design and working of this OLED TV. And now, it is time to capitalize! Since this rollable TV features advanced OLED technology, there is no doubt that it would have great picture quality.

The rolling feature simply makes the television more convenient. Let us say you have a beautiful penthouse with views of the stunning Sydney Harbour. A regular TV could block the views. However, you could simply roll this TV until it is time to sit back and relax with your favourite shows.

With great OLED technology, the rollable TV is indeed one of its kind. But at the same time, it is among the few televisions that can drain your bank account. Unless you are a multi-millionaire.

Though, if you are interested in buying OLED televisions and have no interest in rolling them up, you can go for other relatively cheaper models.

In other news, Google announced several key updates and new technologies in the Google I/O 2021. Along with that, the company also announced that it is aiming to revamp Android watches in partnership with Samsung.
