Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Rumoured Returning for Spider-Man 3
MCU could be setting up the Marvel multiverse
Recently, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jamie Foxx we reportedly be joining the cast of the upcoming Spider-Man 3 film. Now reports are revealing that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are now in talks to reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man for the Spider-Man: Far From Home follow-up film.
The rumors of the casting for Spider-Man 3 and confirmed news is pointing to the Marvel Studios’ MCU setting up its “Marvel multiverse” which would also theoretically, make all previous Marvel films MCU canon. According to reports, both Maguire and Garfield are in talks to appear in a Sony and Marvel collaboration film project that is still in development and would see all three Spider-Men confront their past and new Marvel supervillains. Although nothing is confirmed yet regarding the Spider-Man 3, reports reveal that a finalized version of the film script is nearly complete.
