Fans are crazy for Travis Scott, and sometimes this craze can be too much. One incident happened recently at the signer’s Astroworld festival, which reportedly led to eight deaths. Now, the festival has been completely cancelled.



Tragedy at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival 

According to emergency officials, panic broke out on the opening night of the Astroworld Festival when fans rushed to the front of the stage. In all that chaos, about 30 people were left with cuts and bruises. About 11 of the injured fans of Travis Scott were taken to the hospital due to cardiac arrest. Sadly, eight of them lost their lives.

 

Fifty thousand people attended the Astroworld Festival that was organized in Houston, Texas. During his 75-minute set, Travis Scott stopped multiple times to ensure that the injured fans got help. The singer even asked security to help them out. After the organizers of the Astroworld Festival realized that many people were getting hurt and counted the casualties, they decided to stop the concert.

The cause of deaths is unclear at the time of publishing this article. The local law enforcement and officials have launched an investigation into the incident.

 

It was a two-day festival, and the second day was to have artists’ performances like SZA, Earth, Tame Impala, Wind & Fire. Now, it will not be taking place.

 

Travis Scott wrote this on Twitter “I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival.” He also thanked the Houston Fire Department and NRG Park for their support and response. He added that he “committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need.”

 

Travis Scott also said this on Instagram “My fans really mean the world to me, and I always want to leave them with a positive experience. Anytime I can make out anything going on, I stop the show and help them get the help they need. I could never imagine the severity of the situation.”

He also urged people who had any information on the Astroworld Festival incident to contact the local authorities. Travis Scott also promised to provide updates as the situation changes.
