Sony just released the Venom 2 trailer and fans are already excited. The movie was announced officially in 2019. Tom Hardy returns yet again as Eddie Brock. However, this time, we get to see more of the human-symbiote relationship.

Along with that, Woody Harrelson will also be appearing this time as Cletus Kasady. Fans already had a brief look at him in the post-credit scene of the first Venom movie. This time around, Cletus Kasady will be the main villain in the movie. The Venom 2 trailer reveals the first look of Kasady as Carnage.

Furthermore, the Venom 2 trailer also features Michelle Williams, who will play the role of Anne Weying, Eddi’s ex. Furthermore, we can also see Reid Scott playing the role of Dan Lewis, as the new boyfriend of Anne.

The first movie was written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. Along with that, Kelly Marcel served as the co-writer. However, this time, she solely takes over the scripting duties. Along with that, the new Venom sequel is directed by Andy Serkis.

The Venom 2 trailer shows plenty of dialogue between Carnage and Venom. We first see Eddie talking with Cletus, followed by Cletus undergoing some experiments after which his symbiotic form reveals.

Originally, Venom had mixed reviews. Many people criticized the movie for being chaotic and like the early 2000 superhero movies. Though, there is no denying that Venom grossed over $856.1 million while the movie budget was around $116 million. It indeed brought huge profits.

Nevertheless, despite the negative reviews, Sony decided to move forward with a sequel. After all, it was promised in the post-credit scenes.

While the first movie lacked in action, the weird relationship between Eddie and the Symbiote was quite interesting. The Venom 2 trailer brings the same element back, but further builds upon it. And as expected, the Venom 2 trailer also shows Venom casually preparing to devour people’s heads.

In other entertainment news, the MCU trailer revealed some major upcoming MCU movies in the next two years. Among these, the Eternals and Shang-Chi movies are just two of the many notable entries.
